Charting devices help to create shaped fabric (to knit sweaters and other items of clothing) when knitting on knitting machines.

Depending on the brand/manufacturer/country, the charting devices can be called a variety of names: knit leader (by Brother), “knit contour” (By Singer/Silver Reed), “knit radar” by Studio, “knit tracer” (by Toyota), “knit copy” (by Juki) and even “patterngraph” (by Empisal). Pheeewww…what a variety of names!!
