Intarsia carriage Brother KA-8200

Intarsia carriage KA8200 is compatible with a wider variety of standard-gauge Brother knitting machines, especially those in which carriages do not have built-in intarsia capabilities.

The manual specifically mentions that the row counter/knit-leader tripper, used as a release knob for the carriage, activates the row counter for the KH830, KH840, and KH860 machines.

The carriage works when the needles are in D position. When your needles are in B position, they will be brought to D position automatically. The yarn is laid on the needles with open latches.

The carriage also comes with two kinds of trippers: for row counters and for knit leaders. Refer to the manual for more information.

Pictures are coming soon.

The next-up model of intarsia carriage is Brother KA-8210. The only difference is that KA8210 comes with sinkers for maintaining the even yarn tension for all colors.

Both KA8200 and KA8210 are compatible with all standard-gauge 24-stitch punch-card and electronic Brother machines.
