Wow, quite a name! Synchro Hi-matic!! So… Art Knitter DX-3000 is very likely a standard-gauge knitting machine with an 8-push-button mechanism.

The only difference I see from the earlier model, DX-2000, is the markings on the pushbuttons. I agree that when the buttons are simply numbered as 1 through 8, it is hard to remember which number corresponds to which needle selection combo. The pushbuttons in DX-3000 give hints on in which relative position the needles will be selected. Similar notation is seen on Toyota knitting machines. Not sure if such a hi-tech name was assigned because of this modification. Stay tuned for more info! But check additional pictures below.
