Silver Reed SK-360 knitting machine

Silver Reed SK360 knitting machine has 200 needles, 4.5 mm apart, with built-in knit leader and punchcard reading capabilities to knit textured and patterned fabrics.

Silver Reed SK360 is a model released for the Japanese markets only, judging by all-Japanese writing on the carriage. Japanese models of SK360 are often called Kantan 60.

The identical models but for the Wester Markets are Studio mod. 360K and Singer MemoMatic 360K. I described these latter models in many detail with all their pros and cons; thus, read the corresponding posts to learn the same details but for the Silver Reed 360K.

The original color of the Silver Reed SK360 model was light cream/yellow but some models that I see being sold on the used market are orange due to the UV damage.

Do not confuse metal-bed Silver Reed SK360 with plastic-flat-bed models LK360 and KB360.

Pros and cons are similar to other punchcard-based Singer/Silver Reed/Studio knitting machines. I especially like the easy-to-move back and forth tuck brushes although tuck-stitch can be knitted easily without them as well.
