Riccar RK-708A knitting machine

Riccar RK-708A is a punchcard-based standard-gauge machine with 200 needles, 4.5 mm apart. It has a built-in knit leader.

The look of Riccar 708A knitting machine is much more modern than its immediate predecessor, Riccar 708; although both machines have a knit-leader and a punchcard mechanism. Riccar 708A very much resembles its younger sister, Riccar 709.

Riccar 708, similarly to Riccar 709, is identical (with some minor color differences) to the Studio mod. 360, Empisal Knitmaster 360/260K, Singer MemoMatic 360K, Silver Reed SK360, Silver SK360. Thus, refer to those detailed posts while enjoying the pictures below.
