Silver SK8 knitting machine is a basic (only manual stitch manipulation) knitting machine released in the very early of 1960s. It has 200 needles and is of standard (4.5 mm) gauge. Unfortunately, the picture below do not show a carriage but it is very likely similar to the one for the Silver Reed SK8 and SK10 models.

Unlike its younger sister, Silver Reed SK-10, Silver SK8 has a flat (not S-shaped) table clamps. But both have metal tool box. Both have cast-on wires (typical for early Singer/Silver Reed/Silver/Studio knitting machine models.

There are other parts unusual parts, e.g., carriage fixer. Maybe it is a so-called (for later models) carriage lock. The manual does not describe clearly what it is.

The pictures below is the only ones I found so far.
There are a lot of strange things about these photos:
- the manual states that it is for the Silver SK8-200 model.
- the case (main bed and the lid) both say “Studio” AND “Silver”.
So I guess we can assume that Silver SK-8 and Studio SK-8 are the same knitting machine.
