Empisal Instant Knitter has 164-165 needles.

It has a lot of features of the machines from the 1950s-1960s, among which is a clip-on row counter.


The knitting mechanism is different from the majority of the machines, even of that time period. The needles are stationary and the series of hooks are moved by the carriage to attach yarn to the needles. Other machines similarly possessing the same knitting mechanism are:… in progress.


There are similar machines with the cup-holder for the yarn: Empisal Knitmaster mod. 100, Silver Junior mod. 250, and Empisal Knitmaster mod. 250.

Judging by the picture below, this is a fine-gauge machine. But I need another source to confirm that.
