Out of all ARS and Amoretto knitting machines, this has by far the most vintage look.

This machine (together with the ASR Knitter type M) looks like a standard-gauge machine with only manual/basic capabilities. It does have a clutch/change pole for needle selection, also similar to ARS Knitter M and ARS Knitter SM-15.

Its later sisters, such as ARS Amoretto MT-2, ARS Amoretto MT-4, and ARS Amoretto MT-5, have “fancy” mechanisms. ARS Knitter MT also have a carriage similar to the ARS Amoretto machines, which previous ARS Knitter models do not. There are some manuals available online to look up how to work the carriage. Stay tuned as I dig out more info on this machine.
