Toyota K506 knitting machine is a turn-knob knitting machine manufactured in the mid- to late-1960s. Stay tuned while I look for more information on this machine and in the meantime below are my observations and pictures.

Toyota K506 has 200 needles, 4.5 mm apart, which makes it a standard-gauge knitting machine.

Its patterning and automatic needle selection is accomplished by the turn-knobs on the front panel.

Combinations of the knobs create several standard needle positions.

It looks like there are Western (in English) and Japanese (all writing is in Japanese) versions of this machine.

It also looks like the accessory setups (or at least the tool boxes) are slightly different for these two versions.

I am hoping I’ll have a chance to work on this machine to provide more insights.
