Brother KH892 knitting machine is identical to its earlier sister, Brother KH890: besides both being standard-gauge knitting machines with 200 needles, 4.5 mm apart, and with punchcard reading capabilities, both have built-in garter carriage rails and split MC button for fair isle and lace knitting. Thus, read the corresponding blog post.

Judging by the all-Japanese writing on the carriage and the needle bed, Brother KH892 was probably released for the Japanese markets only.
I had a chance to work on this wonderful machine and you can see it in action in my video and read a post dedicated to a specific and gorgeous Brother KH892e knitting machine.

Brother KH892 comes in a standard color-scheme version (pinkish markings on the carriages) as well as in the anniversary color-scheme version (bluish markings).

Other names of Brother KH892 are Palie AII and Andare KH892e.

Brother KH892 is capable of knitting plain stockinet as well as fair isle, lace (including thread lace), woven, plated and part/slip stitches. Additionally (it even states on the carriage) it has built-in intarsia capabilities in the carriage.

Similar to Brother KH890, KH891, and some KH860, Brother KH892 has built-in garter carriage rails.

Similarly to a lot of other punchcard Brother machines, the end needle selection is adjusted by (de)activating the corresponding cams on the underside of the carriage.

The manual describes all the functions of the machine pretty well. In fact, I find it one of the best written manuals (with minimum if any typos) out of punchcard knitting machines I dealt with.
