Protruding features of the case of ARS Knitter Type M knitting machines give it a unique vintage look. This machine is very likely a standard-gauge machine and has manual/basic capabilities, with some patterning/needle-selection possible thanks to the clutch/change pole for needle selection (similar to ARS Knitter MT and ARS Knitter SM-15. Its later sisters, such as ARS Amoretto MT-2, ARS Amoretto MT-4, and ARS Amoretto MT-5, have “fancy” mechanisms. There are some manuals available online to look up how to work the carriage. Stay tuned as I dig out more info on this machine. Check out other ARS Knitter machines with similar functionalities. Let me know if you have any additional information.
