ARS Knitter SM18 is very likely a standard-gauge knitting machine.

I cannot see from any of the pictures I found so far how many needles this machine has.

It is manual only knitting machine at the first glance.

However, the manual describes a “clutch and change pole”, which allows for some semi-automatic needle selection.
