Empisal EF68 knitting machine has a very interesting design. It is a European model and has 5 mm gauge.

There are couple of similar super-vintage KnitKing models. There is scares information about it on the web (that I will not copy): just google the model name and number and it will pop-up. But if you cant find any, try those vintage KnitKing machines; maybe something will be handy.

You can see below that the needles are pretty small. I’ve seen needles with a similar shape on some plastic-bed mid-gauge machines and on Brother KR321 ribber.
