Studio by White SK740 knitting machine is a standard-gauge (4.5 mm distance between the needles) machine with 200 needles.

It has punchcard reading capabilities to control needle selection and, as a result, knitting patterned panels.

Studio by White SK740 is a simpler sister to the Singer mod. 700, Singer MemoMatic 700K, Empisal Knitmaster mod. 700 and Studio mod. 700 machines with built-in intarsia capabilities.

Studio by White SK-740 does not have intarsia but have all other features, like knit-leader, built-in tool box, etc. Thus, refer for the resources for the 700-models if you cant find anything on Studio By White SK740.

However, Studio by White SK740 can be accessorized with an intarsia carriage, AG20 as well we with SRP20, SRP50, SRP60, SRP60N, and SRJ70 ribbers, YC5 and YC6 color changers, LC2 lace carriage, AW1 weaving arm, RT1 transfer carriage, and SC3 linking carriage.

I had a privilege to restore and knit on Studio by White SK740 and I just loved its more modern design, with its squared carriage unlike earlier models with more round carriages. My machine arrived with broken end caps that I had to 3D print. Thus, I know for sure that end caps from the 700 models do not fit Studio by White SK740 machines.
Despite all the initial troubles with looking for replacement parts, I tremendously enjoyed working with Studio by White SK740 (and knitted a pretty neck warmer on it – see my video) as it is a very robust and versatile knitting machine.
