RKTC transfer carriage (the same as Brother KA-8300 carriage) assists in quick transfer of stitches from the ribber to the main bed. It is especially handy when a large number of needles is involved. It is also useful for small production knitters.

Sometimes it is hard to move it, and sometimes, especially when not set properly onto the bed, it misses stitches. Ribber and the machine need to be aligned almost ideally for the transfer carriage to work flawlessly. It is also not a bad idea to move the needle beds a bit closer for the transfer carriage to not to drop stitches.

It can be used for standard-gauge knitting machines with punch cards (but not KH800 and KH801) and electronic capabilities coupled with the corresponding ribbers. Silver Reed and Toyota also made transfer carriages, RT1 and Toyota K65.
