Hello Hobby plastic circular knitting machine

The blue color and the cute name attracted me so much that this is one of the first circular knitting machine (of course after my most favorite Addi and most popular Sentro) in my Encyclopedia.

Hello Hobby has 22 needles (similar to Add Express) and takes upto the worsted thickness yarn. It looks like it can knit circular and flat panels (judging by the switch on the side).

It is very small and cute. I like that it has a handle to hold onto the machine so it does not wobble (because the legs actually do not have any suction or table clips to attach to the table). I also like that the handle is detachable to get it out of the way for hand-manipulation the needles and stitches. I also like that it has a yarn guide, which also control the yarn tension somewhat.

It operates similarly to all circular knitting machine: typical cast-on procedure, typical aspects of dealing with tension, etc. So, if you cant find any specific instructions on how to use it, just find any instructions on any circular plastic knitting machine and they will work.

After watching several videos, I am impressed that it knits not bad! Although it is flimsy. If you are trying to get introduced to machine knitting, this is a good started machine (before you invest into Sentro or even Addi (which is several hundred dollars). But do not have very high expectations.

Overall, I am impressed despite some cons of being a quickly made plastic machine.
