Corona CH-1800 knitting machine

Corona CH-1800 is a standard-gauge Japanese-made knitting machine with 200 needles, 4.5 mm apart.

Corona CH1800 knitting machine was also released under the Koyo CH1800 name.

The carriage is probably the most complex carriage (with all these various levers, knobs, buttons, dials, etc…)

Unlike most machines with mechanical patterning capabilities, all the patterning settings are in the carriage.

In addition to such a complex carriage, the machine comes with a pattern master.

Like other Corona machines, Corona CH1800 also comes as Genie, the Magic Knitter. In fact these names to be put interchangible on Corona models: sometimes “Corona” is on the carriage, “Genie” is on the needlebed and vice versa.

Corona CH-1800 has a very characteristic tension mast (capable of accommodating up to three yarns), similar to other Corona knitting machines.

Similar knitting machines are Corona CH1000, CH1500 and CH1600 (but these two have only 10-stitch repeat patterning capabilities) while similar Corona CH1700 also has 12-stitch repeat pattern.
