Corona CH-1500 knitting machine is a standard-gauge machine with 200 needles, separate from each other by 4.5 mm distance.

Patterning on Corona CH-1500 is done by needle selection governed by the turn knobs located on the carriage (called needle selection control knobs).

Corona CH-1500 is very similar to the Corona CH-1000, on which I already posted a detailed article.

The main difference between corona CH-1500 and CH-1000 is the weaving yarn feeders located on the carriage and the possibility of accessorizing the machine with a weaving attachment.

Corona CH-1500 has electronic copies of the manual available online. There are also a lot of video and written resources on this machine. So, do not get discouraged about its seemingly complex patterning abilities. This machine is a gem if you find one. I am soon going to test my own (which I was lucky enough to get with a ribber). So stay tuned for updates on my knitting adventures and better pictures.

Corona CH-1500 is also known under the names of Genie CH-1500 and Koyo KH-1500.

Similar to other Corona knitting machines, Corona CN-1500 does not have your typical sponge strip inside a metal retaining bar but (according to the manual and other Internet resources) has dampeners- one a wide strip for the sinker plate and one like a cord for needle movement control. Also, it is not as easy to replace them as for Brother and Singer/Silver Reed/Studio knitting machines because the end caps need to be removed.
Knitting machines with similar patterning capabilities are Corona CH-501 (although much fewer levers and knobs), CH-707, CH-1000, CH-1600, CH-1700 and CH-1800.
