This cute small needle bed knitting machine, Corona CHJ-3, is one of the rare knitting machines for kids that has a metal needle bed. It is so adorable that it deserves a well-written article on its own.

However, there is not much information on it. I believe that parts and accessories for Corona CHJ-3 machines would be similar to those of other standard-gauge Corona knitting machines.

It also comes under the name Janome Junior Knitter (also with model number CHJ-3) and Genie CHJ-3.

Because this mini machine is built very similar to other Corona knitting machines, it is very likely that Corona CHJ-3 does not have your typical sponge bar but has dampeners – one a wide strip for sinker plate and one like a cord for needle movement control. Also, it is not as easy to replace them as for Brother and Singer/Silver Reed/Studio knitting machines because the end caps need to be removed.
