Toyota K-106 knitting machine is a basic (capable of only manual manipulation of stitches and needles) knitting machine.

I am still searching the manual for this machine and other information. But I believe it is a standard gauge (4.5 mm) knitting machine with 200 needles.

The carriage has a very interesting side feature: a dial on the right-hand side. The sinker plate also has a corresponding protruding feature.

I am not sure what these are for but a slightly later model, Toyota K 108, also has the same feature.

Similarly to the other vintage manual knitting machine Toyota K-104, the K106 model has buttons on the top of the carriage. However, the Toyota K-106 has 6 buttons, with the writing in Japanese only.

The row counter is a clip-on. The carriage handle is removable. It has a very distinct shape – slightly concaved (not perfectly oval). I’ve seen similar shapes on many Toyota machines. Maybe such shape is a bit more ergonomic?

I would love to know more about this machine (as it has a lot of unusual features shown in the pictures below) but the resources are limited.
If you have more information about this machine, I would appreciate it if you share it with me and with all other knitting-machine-addicts.

Similar vintage Toyota machines are the Toyota K-104, Toyota K-107 and Toyota K-107. Thus, similarly to Toyota K107 model, K106 has a retaining bar with a sponge strip.
