As of now, I could not find a lot of information on this machine except for pictures.
It looks and very likely operates very similar to the Corona CH-1000 knitting machine, on which I wrote a detailed article. It is, however, more similar to Corona CH-1500: both machines have weaving yarn feeders on their carriages. Thus, if you cannot find information on CH-1700, look for abundant info on CH-1500. Additionally, Corona CH1700 is very similar to Corona CH1800, the pdf copy of the manual for which is available online for free.
Stay tuned as I scout for more information on this vintage machine, Corona CH-1700.

Similar to other Corona knitting machines, Corona CN-1700 does not have your typical sponge strip inside a metal retaining bar but (according to the manual and other Internet resources) has dampeners- one a wide strip for the sinker plate and one like a cord for needle movement control. Also, it is not as easy to replace them as for Brother and Singer/Silver Reed/Studio knitting machines because the end caps need to be removed.
